This vase was from my first ever raku firing! Raku firings involve taking red hot pots out of the kiln at nearly 2,000 degrees and placing them directly into flammable material (wood chips in this case). The smoke penetrates crackles in the glaze and reveals the unique markings on the piece. Each side of this vase is so different. Be sure to scroll through all the photos to see the variation!
Approximately 7 inches tall x 3.75 inches wide
As with all handmade pottery, be sure to expect small imperfections. This item is proudly handmade!
