Wood Fired Thumb Cups - Set #2 - 13oz

These thumb cups were fired entirely by the heat of firewood! Wood fired pottery often picks up many unique variations on its surface depending on which areas the flame hits and its location within the kiln. Wood fired pottery is extremely durable because of how hot it is fired - over 2300°F - resulting in pots that can be treasured by generations to come. These cups feature a small indent in the side that perfectly nestles your thumb and creates a cozy grip. These two tumblers were glazed the same way, but due to the variations in wood firing they came out quite different. The result is two pots that complement each other perfectly without being exactly the same!

Please note that the bottoms of these cups had to be sanded down to remove excess glaze and wood ash. They may be a little rough looking but they are smooth to the touch!

Each cup is approximately 13 oz to the brim.

Approximately 4.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide.

These cups are proudly handmade, so be sure to expect small imperfections.

Pots by Andrea are microwave and dishwasher safe (except for pieces with gold or metallic finishes). Delicate Items should be hand-washed for a more gentle cleaning.
